“First of all, welcome to Coates Couture and a huge congratulations to you! I know how exciting planning a wedding is and me and my team are always so excited to help you along the way.
Wedding dresses and all things wedding are all I have ever known since being a little girl. My mum (Gaynor) has taught me everything I know, (except anything to do with computers ha!). My mum opened her first bridal shop over a decade ago after successfully running other bridal stores. However, the time came when she naturally wanted to take a step back, as she wasn’t a massive fan of technology and social media. I started to work for my mum back in 2016 and in 2018 I set up Coates Couture.
Coates is our family name, and as the business runs through the generations, I found the name was fitting. Fast forward a year and we have grown in every aspect. We have recently moved to a large premises which me and my Husband refurbished ourselves. We also now have a team that includes 3 of the most amazing women I know.
My aim is for every bride that comes into Coates Couture, to leave feeling confident, uplifted and most of all, happy. I was married in 2019 and I had a dreaded experience when finding my dress. I was in a store where there was no privacy, none of the dresses fitted me, and the consultant saw me in my underwear! I just wanted the ground to swallow me up. I had travelled quite a long way and the only good thing that came out of my experience, was that I felt so proud of who we are at Coates Couture and what we do.
