7 YEARS OF CC 🤍🩶 Who remembers our little shop in the middle of Grimsby? 6 years ago, I took a massive risk, got a massive loan, and took the plunge to create what we have today. I wanted to create a HUGE space where people could come and feel incredible about themselves. To have moments that they didn't believe they would have and to create memories that will last a lifetime. It still gets me when a bride tags us in her wedding photos, or I see a picture of our CC mugs or even just when someone has heard of us and knows where we are. It's been an incredible 7 years. I've had my own wedding and had a beautiful baby boy in the process. He literally learnt to walk on our old catwalk. My office has been put through its paces where it was once filled with bottles, nappies, cots, and highchairs. It all looks fabulous on our page because it is! So you've said YES! What's next... Obviously, all the other aspects to plan for your big day, but as for your bridal look, we will take it from here... At Coates Couture, it's NOT just, here's your best purchase of your life, cyah later! So your dress will arrive anywhere from 4- 6 months of you ordering it with us. We will then give you THE phone call to say your dress has arrived after we have carefully put it through all of our quality control checks. THEN, it's time to come and try it on again. Bring your favourite people to your bridal suite and enjoy the magic of your brand new gown in your size! Next, it's time to enjoy the process whilst we have your dress in our storage. No you don't need to find somewhere to put it. Book appointments to come and try it on anytime you want. Make an accessory appointment to try veils, hair pieces etc. THEN it's time for alterations 6 weeks before your wedding. Either with our in house designer or another seamstress you know or we recommend. When the dress is all finished and fits like a glove, we will book you in for collection. How many dresses should you be trying on? Basically, as many as it takes until you get that feeling. However, on average, it takes our stylists 3-4 dresses and a wild card before we can nail down what it is exactly you want. After those first initial try ons, we know our dresses off by heart, so we will then pick more dresses out that will be what you are asking for. That's when the magic yes happens. Our stylists really are experts, so you shouldn't need to try on loads and loads of dresses. It causes unnecessary stress, doubt, and can leave you feeling overwhelmed. We keep the process simple and easy. That way, you can spend way more time in dresses you LOVE and just enjoy the full experience, and you don't become confused. Over shopping and trying on too many dresses is a thing! Don't do it. But also don't stop until you find the one. An open mind and a mind that doesn't overthink the process is key. Just enjoy it, be in the moment, and go with your heart. We can't wait to meet our brides tommorow!
